Agnes Lyle 1832 is a reproduction of an original Scottish sampler in our collection, from Glasgow. We think her white house is spectacular and the peacock, birds and dogs are so full of character!
The pattern is 151 x 201 stitches and includes four-sided stitch, Algerian eyelets and over one, meaning it would not be suitable for stitching on Aida. Our model is stitched using 1 strand of floss on 36ct 'Brenda’s Brew' from R & R Reproductions. We have used Weeks Dye Works threads for our reproduction but we also include a DMC conversion in our PDF downloads. The design area on 36ct fabric measures approximately 8 3/8" x 11 1/8” (21.3 x 28.3cm).
The PDF downloads include both a symbol only and colour version of the chart along with a sizing guide for a variety of fabric counts. We have provided a short biography for Agnes which traces her move even further north to the Black Isle. Additional stitching information for the speciality stitches is also included along with the charts. Upon purchase you will have access to both A4 (UK) and letter (US) formatted PDFs to account for local printing standards.
Please note: Our PDFs are not e-mailed to you, you can either download the files immediately after payment from the webpage or follow the ‘Download Files’ link (highlighted in blue) from the Order Confirmation e-mail you will receive.
We cannot offer returns, exchanges or cancellations but please do contact us if you have any problems at all with an order or require any other assistance. Any quirks in the pattern are Agnes's but any mistakes are my own!
