Bethia Fenshaw 1861 is a reproduction of a mid 19th century cross stitch sampler from the private collection of Whilst Iris Naps Designs.
The stitch count is 66 x 86 and our model is stitched using 1 strand floss over 2 linen threads on 40ct Zweigart 'Flax' linen. We have used a Weeks Dye Works thread for our reproduction but we also include a DMC conversion. The design area on 40ct fabric measures approximately 3 3/8 x 4 3/8 inches (8.4 x 11cm).
The pattern only uses cross stitch and so is suitable for stitching on either linen or Aida. The PDF download includes both a symbol only and colour version of the chart, sizing for a variety of fabric counts and a step-by-step guide to our spool finish. If you're just curious how much effort is involved in this type of finish, or prefer to follow a video rather than written instructions, I now also have a walk through spool sampler tutorial video on YouTube showing my process.
Upon purchase you will have access to both A4 (UK) and letter (US) print formats.
