Festive Ornaments, is a set of cross stitch patterns that can be made into a trio of festive decorations; 'Tree', 'Noel' & 'Year'. Two of the ornaments also have a design for the reverse.
There are Smyrna stitches (stitched over 6 threads) in the designs and several are stitched on the alternate thread, so they would not be suitable to be stitched on Aida.
I chose to finish the ornaments as pin cushions, with a beaded edge, using Mill Hill seed beads. A tutorial for how I do this can be found in my ‘Let it Snow’ freebie chart. The adorable decorative pins were purchased from Jersey Girl Stitch Co.
The models were all stitched on 36ct 'Smokey Blue' by Zweigart using Weeks Dye Works and DMC threads, a full DMC conversion is included as part of the PDF download.
