Florence Rose Marriner 1886 is a reproduction of an original cross stitch pattern from Whilst Iris Naps Designs.
Florence lived in Berkshire, England and completed her petite sampler when she was 12 years old. If ever the adage, to mind your 'P's and 'Q's, was suited to a sampler, this is it. Whether intentional or not, we'll never know, but she left them until the end of her alphabet!
The stitch count for the design area is 78 x 95 and on 40ct fabric is approximately 3 7/8 x 4 3/4 inches (9.9 x 12.1cm). The pattern is all full crosses over 2 linen threads except for 2 (optional) backstitches and so is suitable for stitching on Aida.
The model was stitched on 40ct ‘Hogbristle’ by Fox and Rabbit Designs using Weeks Dye Works threads, but a DMC conversion is included.
Florence Rose Marriner 1886 is an easy to follow cross-stitch chart and includes all the stitching information you will need to complete and enjoy this stitchwork.
