Strawberry Pin Cushion is an original design from Whilst Iris Naps Designs available in PDF download format. Should you wish to recreate the mattress pin-cushion finish shown in the model stitch, instructions can be found here. The charts for the top and side patterns could, of course, be used in any number of other ways, together or separately.
The model was stitched on 36ct 'Dove' by Weeks Dye Works using a selection of Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and The Gentle Art threads (5 colours in total).
The design area for the top pattern is 51 x 51 stitches which equates to approximately 2 7/8 inches square (7.3cm) on 36ct fabric. The stitch count for the side pattern is 219 x 13, approximately 12 1/8 inches x 3/4 inch (30.8cm x 1.9cm) on 36ct fabric. A size conversion table is provided in the PDF for other popular fabric counts.
The design is entirely cross stitch over 2 linen threads and so would be suitable for stitching on Aida.
