Anne Logan 1840 is a reproduction of a mid 19th century Scottish cross stitch sampler from the private collection of Whilst Iris Naps Designs.
We provide an easy to follow cross stitch chart in PDF format which includes all the stitching information you will need to complete and enjoy this reproduction. Upon purchase you will have access to both A4 (UK) and letter (US) formatted PDFs.
The stitch count is 90 x 201 and our model is stitched on 36ct R&R Reproductions ‘Winter Brew’ which measures approximately 5 x 11 1/8 inches (12.7 x 28.3 cm). The pattern includes eyelets, cross stitch over 2 linen threads, backstitch and a small amount of cross stitch over one linen thread. We used Weeks Dye Works threads but we offer a DMC conversion table in the PDF. Also provided in the PDF are; approximate sizes for other fabric counts, a quick reference guide to the backstitch and eyelet sections as well as symbol and colour versions of the chart. Furthermore, we were able to locate our stitcher, so notes on her life are also included as part of the download.

My first WIN design
This was my first Whilst Iris Naps Designs. The chart was perfect and very easy to read. Christina's color choices in all of her designs is incredible. Her sense of color is spot on. I even enjoyed all of the eyelet stitches - normally not my favorite but they make this sampler. I was a very quick stitch so if you like Scottish samplers, you must add this one to you collection. I now purchase every one of her designs the moment she lists them. DO it...you will be so glad that you did.
