New Release!

Florence Rose Marriner 1886 is a reproduction of an original cross stitch pattern from Whilst Iris Naps Designs.

Florence lived in Berkshire, England and completed her petite sampler when she was 12 years old.  If ever the adage, to mind your 'P's and 'Q's, was suited to a sampler, this is it.  Whether intentional or not, we'll never know, but she left them until the end of her alphabet!

The stitch count for the design area is 78 x 95 and on 40ct fabric is approximately 3 7/8 x 4 3/4 inches (9.9 x 12.1cm). The pattern is all full crosses over 2 linen threads except for 2 (optional) backstitches and so is suitable for stitching on Aida.

The model was stitched on 40ct ‘Hogbristle’ by Fox and Rabbit Designs using Weeks Dye Works threads, but a DMC conversion is included as part of the PDF download.

Florence Rose Marriner 1886 is an easy to follow cross-stitch chart in PDF format and includes all the stitching information you will need to complete and enjoy this stitchwork.  Included are symbol and colour copies of the chart and steps showing how the model stitch was finished on a spool.  If you're just curious how much effort is involved in this type of finish, or prefer to follow a video rather than written instructions, I now also have a walk through spool sampler tutorial video on YouTube showing my process.

Upon purchase you will have access to both A4 (UK) and letter (US) formatted PDFs.
