Lucy Wilson 1843 is Florence May Piggin's mother's sampler, stitched when she was just 7 years old. A beautiful little alphabet, number and verse pattern, half in cross stitch over 2 and half in over 1 (please get in touch after purchase if you require an even bigger enlargement of the over 1 area).
The pattern for Lucy's sampler is 116 x 111 stitches and our model is stitched using 1 strand of floss over 2 linen threads on 35ct 'Cocoa' from Weeks Dye Works. We have used Weeks Dye Works threads for our model stitch but we include a DMC conversion in our PDF downloads. The design area on 35ct fabric measures approximately 6 5/8" x 6 3/8" (16.8 x 16.2cm).
Because the chart has over 1 stitching it is not suitable for stitching on Aida.
Our PDF downloads include both a symbol only and colour version of the chart along with a sizing guide for a variety of fabric counts. Upon purchase you will have access to both A4 (UK) and letter (US) formats to account for local printing standards.
